Myrtlewood and Walnut Woodworking Mallet

This beautiful mallet was made out of multi-toned, spalted Myrtlewood for the head and black walnut for the handle. The head is a sturdy and solid piece of wood that was hand-carved with some curves and divets for a little character.  This solid piece was fitted with an ergonomic walnut handle that was hand carved with a twisted design on one side.

Wood mallets are perfect for carpentry and joinery. They're used to prevent marking the wood when striking it and to prevent from ruining chisels like a metal hammer might. We just believe that a tool can be beautiful as well.
